Ola Família,
All is well is well here my companion and me are getting to know each other and I am teaching him the area and he is getting to know the members better.
The baptism we had last week was confirmed this week and she wanted me to do it, it was a great experience my first confirmation of a convert it was great.
It has been a little hard to get used to a new companion but it has been really fun at the same time. There has been some culture clashes but it has all been great, I found out that Brazilians in general don’t flush there toilette paper but rather put it in the waste basket which as you can probably picture is not the most pleasant of things.
Last week we had to make an inventory of all of our investigators and because some of them that were not progressing we had to cut them and it was really sad because several of them I was sure were going to be baptized.
It has finely warmed back up and is now hot again, for about a week and half we had really cold weather it was raining every day and it was down to about 65 most of the days which you would not think is that cold but when you have close to 100 percent humidity it is surprisingly cold. That is about it.
The word of the week is nadar which means to swim
May God bless and protect you is my prayer.
Love,
Elder O’Brien
Some scenery while we were walking back from lunch.
